DE PATRICK KERNEY
(On the rest of the season…) "It's going to be tight with them. Arizona is a heck of a football team. I can see them winning a lot of games, particularly the way they are playing defense. We've got to keep bringing our 'A' game, especially next week with another divisional opponent in St. Louis. We're going to have to bring our best."
(On his forced fumble…) "Just a great job by our coverage. You can't say enough about the job that they did. Rex (Grossman) was back there forever, and it was just one of those things were you had to keep staying after him. Our coverage held up, our other rushers flushed him (Rex Grossman) real well. He took off and he didn't see me coming so I was able to get the ball."
(On having good coverage in the secondary…) "That's why they time 40's (40-yard dash). That's why one-tenth of a second makes a difference in a player. Like I said, our coverage just did a great job for us today."
(On Cedric Benson's touchdown…) "We were disappointed in ourselves for letting that one get out of the gate. Just a slight misfit and that's how close this game is. Cedric (Benson) did a great job of reading it, cutting it back, and exploiting it. Then we rallied after that it did decent job against a very good back."
DE DARRYL TAPP
(On his fumble recovery…) "We've been working hard in practice and things are working out for us on the field. That play (Patrick) Kerney made a great play, he was able to get the sack and cause a fumble. I was watching it the the whole way, cause I started to get up and fade towards the middle, watching (Rex) Grossman in case he scrambles. I saw (Patrick) Kerney come by, got the fumble, and I was looking to make a play on it."
(On the pass rush at home…) "We've just got to continue to work. We've got great fans behind us, so we've got to continue to bring the pass rush when we go on the road."
DL CRAIG TERRILL
(On the 4th down stop in the fourth quarter…) "That 4th and short was huge. That's such a momentum swing, not just for the team but for the defense. For us to get that, especially at such a critical spot on the field, that's big for us."
LB JULIAN PETERSON
(On the win…) "Offense did a good job off moving the ball and keeping the chains moving. Special teams did a good job of containing (Devin) Hester. After that, once we settled down, it pretty much became our game."
(On Cedric Benson's touchdown…) "That was kind of a wake-up call. I put that one on myself. I was supposed to be on the backside. After that we were in the wrong gaps a little bit, and they busted another play. After that, once we kind of fine tuned where we needed to be, and everybody started focusing, the defense started to play better. Our corners and safeties did a great job in coverage, that was the biggest thing. I thought they did a great job of closing the gap and making sure there wasn't any room for air. They made a lot of plays as far as breaking up passes. I know (Jordan) Babineaux punched one out, too bad we didn't get that one. We were very active today, if we can continue to do that we can do some good things."
