They should probably present the division title at halftime. In a game the Seahawks had to have to win the division for the fourth straight year, they have dominated the Arizona Cardinals in the first half, holding a 27-7 lead, the only blemish of which was a 21-yard punt out of the end zone by Ryan Plackemeier, setting up a Kurt Warner to Bryant Johnson touchdown with a minute left. Josh Brown tacked on a field goal at the end of the half, throwing his arms in the air in relief after missing three of his previous four attempts. Matt Hasselbeck has been fantastic. I don't have his passer rating yet, but Boling was guessing it must be about 140, maybe better. The defense has been stout, with Deon Grant getting an early interception, Patrick Kerney and Brandon Mebane getting sacks and John Marshall starting to send blitzes at Warner more often because the Cardinals don't have a choice but to pass. The crowd here at Qwest has been very vocal, having an effect -- though it did boo Plackemeier after that punt. More of the same in the second half, and the Seahawks start eyeing Green Bay, particularly since Tampa Bay lost today, dropping to 8-5.
