RB SHAUN ALEXANDER
(On appreciating the success…) "When I first got here we were in six-and-ten. I tell everybody six-and-ten season, seven-and-nine. Now we're rolling this thing up pretty well and it's almost like people can sometimes forget. It was hard work to put the team together and get the right chemistry and it's a lot of fun right now so we're not taking it for granted at all."
(On winning the division…) "Definitely. It's the first of many goals that we have but you can't get to your second one until you get the first one so we're happy we're here."
(On the 16 players that have been with the Seahawks for the current NFC West title streak…) "I think it's a will to win and then it's also it's everybody humbling themselves and always pulling the next guy up to step up when you get some new faces in and that's what works. Anytime everybody says, hey, this is how we get this thing done then it goes well. Guys keep on stepping up and making plays and it's rolling."
Never miss a local story.
(On the fourth consecutive NFC West title…) "Four in a row, it's so exciting. When I first got here my rookie season we couldn't really find the end of anything. I think we went six-and-ten. We had a seven-and-nine season. So to come back and dominate the West, we've won it four years in a row, it's just an exciting feeling. I'm so excited and proud for everybody and everybody that's come with us. I think there's been 16 of us that's been a part of this. It's a great feeling."
DE PATRICK KERNEY
(On his performance…) "I don't think I've ever had three three-sack games in a season; a great tribute to our team. The situations our offense has put us in defensively and we did a good job of our coverage. The guys that are rushing benefit. I didn't have any sacks in the first game against Arizona but I had some rushes that were wins. I just wanted to go back to that. I studied the film. When I was able to get my one-on-ones the coverage held up so well it gave me time to get there."
(On the team's momentum…) "I do. We sort of challenged ourselves after a couple of close wins to see how good we can be. Deion Branch at Wednesday's practice said we have to attitude where we can just keep the foot on the pedal for all four quarters and finally we were able to do that today; just a great production by everybody."
SS DEON GRANT
(On his interception…) "It was a cover two. I was in a zone and I saw the tight end running. I knew I was going to be able to make a play so I was really going to make a tackle. The linebackers had him backed up a little bit to make him put air under the ball. He put a little too much air under the ball. The ball was in the air. I was secondary. I'm entitled to go and attack it. If it's in the air it's ours."
(On nearly having a second interception…) "Yeah, Tru (Marcus Trufant) wanted all those three picks to come to him so he got selfish and his helmet hit my elbow and knocked it out. I had it but balls like that I have to come down with I didn't come down with it so I'll take it out on Carolina next week."
