I have been flying most of the day, spending the last hour looking for my luggage, which is somewhere between snowy Denver and hot Charlotte. Excited about the prospect of wearing the same clothes for three straight days. I may have to take a lesson from my friend Clare Farnsworth and "hang loose" for a couple days.
In any case, here are some notes from today's practice:
Brian Russell didn't practice because of an abdomen issue and was wearing a stim pack. Mike Holmgren said Russell's a game-day decision. Jordan Babineaux was playing safety in the base defense, with Mike Green back there in the nickel and dime.
Rocky Bernard also didn't practice but Holmgren says he'll play.
Never miss a local story.
Chris Gray and Tom Ashworth were back after sitting out Thursday.
Game balls went to Chris Gray (offense), Marcus Trufant (defense) and Josh Scobey (special teams). Pretty nice first game for Scobey. Holmgen also got a photo mural from the team captains to commemorate his franchise-record 81st victory.
Matt Hasselbeck continued to look very sharp and Holmgren was giving lots of encouragement, still trying to keep the team focused. It'll be interesting to see what happens next week if Green Bay wins this weekend.
