Wednesday's practice took a little longer than usual because the team worked through some offensive formations in what o-coordinator Gil Haskell called "teaching" speed. Nothing unusual, Haskell said, just stuff they would have done earlier in the day but they decided to do it later.
WR D.J. Hackett worked in individual drills but did not participate in any of the team activities. He said his ankle injury is progressing just fine and that he wants to get back ASAP.
DT Rocky Bernard did not practice, and although T Walter Jones and CB Josh Wilson were out in the bubble, I didn't see them do anything. Jones apparently did some drills in the early portion of practice. Also, S Mike Green did not participate.
Never miss a local story.
Working at Jones' spot was Floyd "Pork Chop" Womack. No surprise; he's done that now on Wednesday's for weeks.
