DE PATRICK KERNEY
(On bouncing back from last week…) "Absolutely. You have to get momentum going into the playoffs. This was a crucial game for that, obviously, coming off of the loss. Not just getting a win, but putting an exclamation point at the end of it."
(On next week…) "Like I said, you have to have momentum. The team that wins the Super Bowl, year in and year out, is the team that has a lot of momentum going into the playoffs. It's not secret that we're going to the playoffs and that's our goal. So we've got to be that team that's running hot."
(On if he'll play next week…) "I'm up for whatever coach deems best for this team. If it means playing every snap next weekend, I'm more than happy to do that. If it means not playing, whatever is best for the team."
CB MARCUS TRUFANT
(On todays game…) "That's the goal. To come out and be perfect, do everything one hundred percent right. But it's not going to be like that. You strive to get that, work hard, and good things are going to happen to you. You try to do everything right, wins are going to come. Guys are going to make plays, fumble recoveries, interceptions, all that stuff is going to happen."
S BRIAN RUSSELL
(On his decision to come to Seattle…) "I love this city. I came up here. My wife's been up here before. West Coast, I'm from the West Coast. It's kind of green and organic and all of the things that describe Seattle, we love that. As a couple it fits us. As far as a team, I think, when you look at a team that's been to the Super Bowl and won four consecutive division titles and they want to come support that. To me that's a no brainer. A lot of teams, they go after free agenst and they want to make them building blocks. That wasn't the situation for me out here. I got to come be a part of something that was already special."
(On if the defense can play any better…) "You just brought up what we're probably going to be grinding our teeth over for the next couple days. We played a good football game today defensively. You never want to give up any points so as a secondary we're going to look at at that and say, hey, let's see if we can hold them to no points and no touchdown passes but that's life. We played aggressively all game and the quarterback made one play there but I'm excited about the way it came out."
(On shutting out opponents six of the last eight quarters…) "We'll take it. I'd like it to be eight out of eight and I think that's our goal but it's good. We're playing some good team defense and we want to keep it rolling next week then go strong into the playoffs."
