QB MATT HASSELBECK
(On where the team goes from this point…) "Well, we've been 0-2 before, and there's still 14 games left, so mathematically it doesn't really mean too much. But you can't give games away. They played well but we played bad, and we expect to win at home. I don't know what to say. We're a little surprised. I'm a little surprised, a little stunned, a little upset. I think we'll probably feel that way all day today and until we watch the film tomorrow and then take Tuesday to try to transition and then Wednesday it's time to get ready to play another game."
(On what happened to Seneca Wallace…) "I saw it in pregame. I saw it happen. It's a really tough deal because he figured in huge today in the game plan. He and Logan [Payne] both. I mean, it is really amazing what is happening right now. Logan was the starting split end and then we had some special plays for Seneca at split end. Seneca was going to spell Logan or spell Courtney [Taylor]. It's just awful for Seneca. I feel badly for him. He was excited. We were all excited for him. It's terrible for Logan too."
Never miss a local story.
(On the end of the 4th quarter going into overtime…) "That's the only thing that was going to stop us. We were going to run regular offense until the 2-minute [warning] and then we were going to go 2-minute offense. The only thing that puts us into a conservative play for overtime mode is bad field position, being backed up. And that's exactly what happened."
(On whether he's able to appreciate any of the good things that happened…) "John Carlson's definitely a bright spot. Our tight ends in general this year have been doing a nice job. We still have some work to do. I don't know how many catches he had, but he probably had a bunch. He probably could've had three to five more than that. We'll get there. He might get there quicker because of the situation, but he's done a nice job."
(On Julius Jones' performance…) "Julius has done a nice job. He does a nice job of getting positive yards. Really, the turnovers killed us. My two interceptions turned into 14 points. That's what killed us, on the offensive side, that's what killed us."
(On Billy McMullen's performance…) "He did a nice job. I really was not planning on seeing him. He did a really nice job, all things considered. I'm impressed with how he just, you know…I don't know what he was doing last week at this time, but it was a nice job by him. It was like he was the go-to guy. It seemed like he was the first read on a lot of plays. Then again, that's because Seneca and Logan figured in big in the game plan. We'll get another week to work together, I guess."
(On how many times he threw to McMullen in practice…) "I don't know. Maybe twice. I'm guessing. It's okay. It's the situation we're in. Even Mike Bumpus this week— Bumpus was on the practice squad. I had no idea we were bringing him up, and he was up. He made some plays as well."
