(On playing at Qwest Field for the visitors…) It's definitely weird to be on the other tunnel. I was watching the game, I was watching the game, watching Matt audible, watching Bobby make catches, watching Deion catch the slant on third down. I can call the whole defense. Every time the defense had to call a defensive play, I was could say that this was the play they were going to run next. It was really exciting to be here, but definitely weird to be on this side.
(On helping out with the game plan…) Nah, Coach Zorn was a coach.
(On who he talked to from Seattle…) I talked on the phone with Bobby. I told him that I went to eat dinner at the Pearl last night, right next to the Hyatt hotel. I texted Bobby and Lofa, and said that I almost walked up into the hotel. They texted me that they were trying to be serious. It is one of those things where they are family to me. It was good to jab them. This game had more on the line for us than them. I told them that this would be a great atmosphere if we both were 6-4 fighting for it all. But, it made it a little bit different with their record being 2-8.
Never miss a local story.
(On whether he almost played…) I was going to run the goal line run, but we just didn't know what was going on with the personnel. Different personnel, it would have been my touchdown run. That's just how it works. Football is funny like that. You score a touchdown, and then they put you back in the game. I'm really close to playing a lot more. But, it's still football, this team is a really good football team, that has the potential to be great. I told them all from the very beginning that I will not be a distraction. Even as hungry as I am to go out there and score touchdowns again. This is a team that can really go to the Super Bowl, or at least create some major damage in the playoffs. I need to take the humble road. It's not my time yet.
