(On whether he considered that this might be his last home game at Qwest Field as well as Coach's…) "I didn't really have a feeling one way or the other, but I'm realistic in the fact that it might be. So, I didn't want to let it pass me by without taking some time to take it all in. I did that the whole entire day, from the time I woke up, all the way to the stadium, until now."
(On whether he wants to come back to the Seahawks next season…) "Yeah, I've been saying that all along. I want to retire here. But the business side has to dictate that. That will only be determined in the near future."
(On whether he still feels like he's a good fit for this offense…) "Yeah! I still feel great. The thing is, I still feel good, I still feel like I can put up big numbers. This was a very difficult year physically, mentally, we've just been grinding. I learned a lot about myself and about this team this year. Like I said, you learn a lot about yourself when you go through this, and you just try and take that and use it in other areas of your life. It's been a great run. If it's over, it's been a great fun. I've had a tremendous time here. A lot of fun. The fans have been great. A lot of good football. A lot of games won on that field, man, and just a lot of good memories. For me, it couldn't have been a better ending, if this was my last game here."
Never miss a local story.
(On showing emotions at the end of the game…) "That was a big part of me to just take it all in and talk to the fans. I was having some conversations with the fans and basically telling them thank you. I think we both realized this may be the end, not saying it is, but everyone knows my stance on it. I couldn't let the moment pass me by, it was to perfect."
(On having success in the passing game today…) "We were just trying to be a little more cautious with the ball. First of overall our offensive line gave us great protection, other than a few times early in the game when they were able to get some pressure those guys were solid. Anytime you get great pass protection like we had today guys will get open."
(On the play of the offensive line…) "I don't know what everyone thought process was but I was confident with the guys we put on out there. The last three or four weeks shouldn't be a surprise to anybody they have been holding there own against some pretty good defenses."
(On the importance of getting a win for Coach Holmgren's last home game….) "It was extremely important plus it just felt good. After everything we have been through this year with all the ups and downs and for us to stick together as a team and persevere and send Mike [Holmgren] out of here on a note like that was special. He is a special coach."
