The Seahawks announced what the players' agent tweeted this morning, that they have signed tackle Andrew McDonald off Carolina's practice squad onto Seattle's 53-man active roster.
The Seahawks also released guard David Arkin and safety Josh Aubrey from the practice squad and signed guard Nate Isles and safety Terrance Parks to the practice squad.
The 6-foot-5, 317-pound McDonald signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Miami Dolphins in May 2012 and spent that season on Miami's practice squad. He was on Carolina's practice squad all last season.
There are reports from espn.com that nickel back Jeremy Lane (re-injured groin) is getting Seattle's injured-reserve list with the designation to return after eight weeks, a move each team gets one of each season. The Seahawks have yet to confirm that. If true, that means there is another spot on the active roster open and another signing onto the 53-man is imminent -- almost certainly a defensive back.
Never miss a local story.
The team is practicing now. I'll sort it out during availability after that.
