Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports on Peyton Manning’s first trip in free agency to the Denver Broncos.
Klis says that Broncos owner Pat Bowlen flew Manning in on his private jet to tour the team’s facility with head personnel man John Elway and head coach John Fox.
Manning has two more trip planned right now to Arizona and Miami, so the Seahawks are currently in a holding pattern waiting to see if they’ll get an invite to the Manning sweepstakes.
Klis: Manning was scheduled to stay in Denver overnight, but he was not accompanied on the trip here by his agent, Tom Condon, whose absence made it unlikely a contract agreement would be reached. An NFL source said Manning may also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins, but those trips have not been scheduled. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.
