Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that according to a league source, four teams, the Minnesota Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals, the New York Jets and the San Diego Chargers have made trade offers for Seattle Seahawks receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
You know Houshmandzadeh would love to go to Arizona and play against Pete Carroll twice a season, but I would be surprised if Seattle is willing to deal him within the division.
Of those teams, the Jets might make the most sense. They are trying to reach the Super Bowl after finishing a game away from the big game last year. And taking a look at their roster, they could use receiver help.
Santonio Holmes will begin the season on the suspended list and miss the first four games of the year. And the cupboard is pretty bare after Jerricho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards, so Housh could provide a reliable target for young quarterback Mark Sanchez until Holmes returns.
