Adam Caplan of Fox Sports is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have claimed quarterback Zac Robinson off waivers and he will now serve as the team's third quarterback.
Robinson was a seventh-round draft pick by New England but released during final cuts on Saturday.
I imagine this will quiet the speculation on Matt Leinart heading to Seattle.
The Robinson move is interesting because I thought before April's draft that the Oklahoma State product was somebody the Seahawks would consider drafting.
They obviously watched a lot of tape of Robinson while they scouted offensive tackle Russell Okung. And Robinson was impressive during the Senior Bowl.
When I talked to Robinson during the scouting combine in February he indicated that the Seahawks had shown interest in him.
Here's a breakdown of Robinson heading into the draft.
