I wanted to let you know what we have planned in terms of draft coverage in the coming weeks.
We have moved forward with the plan to host a mock draft live chat on Saturday, April 17 beginning at 11 a.m. Ryan Divish and I will host the chat, and we’re hoping to get some volunteers to draft for the teams in the first round. So if you’re interested in participating hit me up via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll make sure to reserve a spot for you.
Like last year, we also will host a seven-round mock draft contest for the Seahawks draft picks. The winner will receive a 2010 Seahawks draft hat and a prize pack of stuff we can dig up at the office. Our winner from last year got two of Seattle’s seven picks right, correctly picking Aaron Curry in the first round and Nick Reed in the seventh round. We’ll start the contest a few days before the draft once we know with reasonable certainty how many selections Seattle will have.
We will get our first peek at the new-look Seahawks beginning next Tuesday, April 13, as Seattle hosts a pre-draft camp from April 13 to April 15 at VMAC. We will have daily reports from those workouts from Tuesday through Thursday.
And finally, Rob Rang, senior draft analyst with NFLDraftScout.com, has once again graciously agreed to help out with our annual draft preview, which begins on Sunday, April 18 and runs through draft day.
So that’s what we will be working on in the next, two weeks. If you have specific questions or things you would like us to address in terms of our draft coverage, let us know in the comments section.
