The Seattle Seahawks announced this afternoon that they have claimed receiver Kole Heckendorf off waivers from the Detroit Lions.
Seahawks general manager John Schneider has a history with Heckendorf, as the North Dakota State product originally signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2009 but was cut after training camp. Heckendorf then spent the rest of the 2009 season on Detroit's practice squad.
At 6-foot-2, 191 pounds, Heckendorf is another big target for Seattle.
Seattle made room for Heckendorf by releasing receiver Chris Duvalt.
