Richard Sherman's humor and willingness to talk about almost everything -- not to mention his thoughtful answers and interest in what a reporter has to say -- has earned him the league's "Good Guy Award" for the 2014 season as voted on by members of the Pro Football Writers Association. The PFWA announced the honor Tuesday morning.
The All-Pro cornerback makes the Seahawks the first team to have winners of the award in consecutive years. Quarterback Russell Wilson won it in 2014.
Sherman will talk to you anywhere, and about anything. Remember the time I stopped him outside the locker room in San Diego last September -- after that game and after he uncharacteristically didn't talk in the locker room after -- and he thought I was yet another autograph seeker?
And few forget the skit he and teammate Doug Baldwin did last November to mock the league. It went viral and international, making his point better than ever.
Never miss a local story.
