Here was coach Sigi Schmid's overview:
"It was good for our fitness to run around," he said. "There were some good moments. It was a scrappy game. Sometimes there’s good thing you saw in some players, and some players obviously there are some things we’d like to see a little better. I thought there were some good goals. There were some good opportunities we need to take maybe a little bit better. But overall I thought it was a good exercise."
After training, some players were expected to be cut from the first team,
however the club said those names won't be made public -- at least not today.
Never miss a local story.
Tomorrow the Sounders fly down to Tucson, Arizona, for two weeks of training including four games in the Desert Diamond Cup.
