Obafemi Martins (quad), Clint Dempsey (hamstring) and Marco Pappa (international duty) -- who all missed last weekend's match in Dallas -- were back at training today and all saying they're ready for minutes Saturday when the Houston Dynamo visits.
Martins: I’m good. A little better now. … After the match on Tuesday… I was feeling a lot of pain. Now I’m ready to go. I’m prepared (for Saturday). The team is prepared, too. We need the points. We’re ready to go.
Dempsey: I feel good. I was able to get some good training sessions in this week: back in full training for a few training sessions now. Looking forward for the weekend. (Whether in for full 90) is not really up to me, but I feel good in training, my numbers look good, and I’ll be wanting to start. We’ll see what happens.
Pappa: For now I have no idea. I just came back yesterday from the national team. I make the warm up with the team today and then they put me out to do some jogging, I think because they know the traveling and all those things. We will see tomorrow. … I’m more than ready. I’m here. I come back pretty happy from the national team and I’m feeling good. I hope I can have some minutes on Saturday.
