The Sounders wrapped up the second of two days of local training this morning at Starfire. Tomorrow they'll head out to Columbus, Ohio, where they will meet the Crew at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Today is three days out so we (had) to get more work in today, more concentrated work, because tomorrow becomes a lost training day for us," coach Sigi Schmid said. "So you just want to make sure the guys are right. So even as you plan training and you come out here, sometimes you change things as you gauge how things are going. So we changed a few things a little bit today. But I think the guys will be ready to play."
For Schmid, Brad Evans and Chad Marshall, it will be a return to the spot where they all won the MLS Cup in 2008.
Schmid said the team is in as good a shape as it has been all season, with his choice of players for the first 11 and 18.
