The basics: Sounders play their final road game of the regular season at Kansas City. The game will be broadcast at 5:30 p.m. on KONG and the usual radio outlets.
A win clinches a playoff spot for the Sounders, although there are other ways through. A win also moves Sigi Schmid into a tie with Bob Bradley atop the career list for MLS wins.
Here's my preview story from today's paper. (And here's a link to more information on CommunityAmerica Ballpark, which is part of the focus of my story.)
Never miss a local story.
Finally, here's a look at the MLS playoff standings and a look at the other games being played around the league. (Btw, the Salt Lake-at-Toronto game is on CBUT at 1 p.m., and the Chicago-at-New England game is on Fox Soccer Channel at 3 p.m. A draw or win by the Revs eliminates Kansas City from the playoff race before they kick off against the Sounders.)
