Two interesting items talking to Freddie Ljungberg after the game.
First, he said he wanted to take the PK that Pat Noonan missed.
"I wanted to take it, but Sigi said to me I shouldn’t take the PK. How do I say, 'I’m taking it?' That’s the way it is.
Ljungberg also said that Union manager Peter Nowak approached him after the game and set straight their little feud that had followed the first game in Seattle, when Nowak criticized Ljungberg's honesty and his constant complaints to the referee.
Never miss a local story.
"(Nowak) came up and apologized afterward," Ljungberg said. "He didn’t mean it in the way he said. We shook hands and forget about it. It’s all over and done. I respect people who come and talk to you. I have no hard feelings about that. It takes a man to do that."
