The Sounders trained at Qwest this morning, where they will meet Real Salt Lake on Thursday night. However, a couple of players didn't survive the full session, as Michael Seamon and James Riley each went down. Riley -- who was hurt in the final minutes -- appeared the most serious, having to be helped off while keeping weight off his right leg.
Coach Sigi Schmid didn't have an immediate prognosis on either.
"The turf was a little sticky today," Schmid said. "James went over on his ankle. Mike got stuck a little bit, so it was a little bit more the knee. But I always view those things a little optimistically until I hear worse."
Meanwhile, Blaise Nkufo and Nate Sturgis both worked, but Schmid said their availability for RSL won't be determined until he sees tomorrow how they reacted to today's work.
