Sounders defender Jeff Parke disputed the penalty call on him last night that lead to a Kansas City PK and the Wizards lone goal in Seattle's 2-1 win.
"No man, it was a situation where he’s running, I’m running just a little behind him, I’m going to cut his angle off," Parke said. "His foot comes up, trips me, and then he falls. It will be different when you see it on the replay."
Not too surprisingly, the fouled man -- K.C. striker Teal Bunbury -- saw things differently. “Davy (Arnaud) gave me a well timed ball to perfection, and I was one-on-one with the guy," he said. "I cut him, and I tried to bring out my left to try to take a shot and he just clipped the back of my ankle. I'm not a diver. People were asking me after the game. There's no way I'm diving there. If I've got a chance to score there, why would I dive?”
