The Sounders were back at Starfire this morning, working out and some getting their exit interviews heading into the off-season. We got some time with several guys, including both Sigi Schmid and technical director Chris Henderson.
I'll be back with quotes later this afternoon and probably over the next few days.
However -- from memory -- the highlight might have been Henderson acknowledging that there could be a little more roster turnover this off-season than last. The reason didn't seem to be any added roster dissatisfaction, but as a result of the two-team expansion and new re-entry draft negotiated in the new CBA.
Never miss a local story.
Meanwhile, everything remained pretty vague with individual players. Kasey Keller said he still expects to return, but nothing has been signed. Fredy Montero, Osvaldo Alonso and Sanna Nyassi all said they expect to return, although none guaranteed it.
Alvardo Fernandez said he was happy with his role on the team -- adding that he was OK with his late-season duty off the bench. He also added that the role was never really explained by Schmid, nor did he expect an explanation.
