Even the Sounders' training camp in Casa Grande, Ariz., has been chilled by the nation's wild winter week. The club trained today in freezing temperatures that felt like 22 with the windchill.
"It was a little bit chilly," coach Sigi Schmid said. "We’re lucky we’re not in Missouri or Chicago, Ill. We’re not getting that kind of snow, but it was chilly and windy, and I thought the guys showed a great attitude of just getting on with it and trying to play a scrimmage even with that. I thought we played fairly well."
