It's been a tough week for the Sounders and their supporters, and it seems everyone will be happy just to get back on the pitch and think about the sport rather than the injury list.
However, there will be no avoiding thoughts of those who aren't there. To some degree that is by design -- the club and fans will publicly honor and support Steve Zakuani. Beyond that, of course, the he and O'Brian White will be missed on the pitch.
However, the opponent and location -- Toronto, at Qwest -- certainly seems to allow the possibility of three points, which will make everyone feel incrementally better.
Never miss a local story.
