Women’s soccer fans can spend Cinco de Mayo at the Starfire Stadium at 7 p.m. watching the UW team face the Seattle Sounders Women.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students in any grade through college with valid ID, and $5 for children 12-under.
Former Huskies such as Jane Mitchell and McKenna Waitley will be playing for the Sounders, who are playing their final exhibition match before the regular season begins on May 14 in Victoria, BC. Current Huskies can join the team in May. Former Husky great Tina Ellerston played for the Sounders from 2005-08.
Washington junior Katie Deines and freshman Lindsay Elston re-join the team this week after missing the Seattle U game because they were training with the U.S. Under-23 and Under-20 National teams.
Never miss a local story.
The game will be on TV with Jon Billings calling all of the action. It will be delayed on Comcast On Demand and be available for free approximately 48 hours after the game.
This is the second-to-last spring game for UW. The final game will be Tuesday May 10 at 7 p.m. vs. the Vancouver Whitecap Women at Simon Fraser University in B.C., Canada.
