Here's the release from the club:
Seattle Sounders FC announced today that the date for the home match versus the Philadelphia Union has been moved to Saturday, October 8. The game will start at 7:00 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field.
At the request of Major League Soccer the match was moved from its original July 23 date to accommodate the Union's involvement in the Herbalife World Football Challenge.
Never miss a local story.
All tickets issue for the original date will be honored. To purchase tickets, call 1-877-MLS-GOAL or visit www.SoundersFC.com.
(That, by the way, is a bye weekend for UW football, while the Seahawks are on the road at New York the next day. And barring a playoff run, the Mariners season will be over.)
