Neither Jhon Kennedy Hurtado nor O'Brian White were on the Sounders' 18-man roster today. Coach Sigi Schmid explained afterward that everything is OK with Hurtado, but revealed that there has been a setback with White, who hasn't played since bloodclots were discovered in his leg in April.
"With Kennedy we just still wanted to wait a little bit," Schmid said. "I think he’ll be on the field Tuesday. With O’Brian White, there’s a little bit of a complication right now, but we really can’t say because it hasn’t been fully determined what the situation is. … It’s along the same lines of his prior injury, but it hasn’t been fully diagnosed as it what it is or how to deal with it, so the objective was to be cautious at this stage."
