Seattle Sounders FC announced today that the Puerto Rico National Team has called in goalkeeper Terry Boss for two World Cup qualifying matches next week.
Puerto Rico plays St. Kitts and Nevis on September 2 in Basseterre and then hosts Canada on September 6 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
Boss, who has six caps, will miss Seattle's U.S. Open Cup semifinal match against FC Dallas on Tuesday. He will return to Seattle following the second fixture.
Boss has made four starts in all competitions with four wins, the most recent being a 1-0 shutout victory at Monterrey on August 23 in a CONCACAF Champions League group stage match.
Never miss a local story.
Boss' eligibility comes from residency while playing the 2006-07 seasons with the USL Puerto Rico Islanders.
