Sounders FC won't start training for its 2012 season today after all. The club took note of the ice storm warnings out there and decided to postpone until Friday, when temperatures are expected to rise enough to make the roads safer for all concerned.
It's the second weather-related change in the start of Sounders camp. The club had originally planned to begin training at the outdoor Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, but then decided to move indoors to the Seahawks training facility in Renton. Now, even that has been delayed.
(Meanwhile, here's a very good preseason Q&A with Sigi Schmid from the SoundersFC.com website.)
