"It's a lot cooler than where I came from, and that was a little difficult," he said. "... It's the first day and I was a little winded, so that will get better each day. ... The training level up here is at a high intensity. It's more tough. It will be good. I'm a young guy, so I will get used to it."
Coach Sigi Schmid was asked what he thought of Cato's first work in green.
"It was good," Schmid said. "Early on I said, 'Let me know how you feel.' He said, 'I feel a little tired, a little winded.' I said, 'Look, just take it easy, don't go crazy. Just play.' And then I pulled him out of the running at the end. He's a good kid, he would have done everything we asked him to do. But I thought for the little bit he played, you could see his quickness. He's got some speed, and he's a lot stronger than you think for a guy his size. He'll be good."
We'll have more from Cato and the club after the second training session this afternoon.
