Sounders coach Sigi Schmid gave these health updates today, following the club's final training session before its MLS opener tomorrow against Toronto:
On Eddie Johnson:Obviously it takes a day or two to assess it. They felt it was a little bit different from what they initially felt. I really couldn’t tell you right now how long we expect him to be out.
On Steve Zakuani:Steve’s continuing to work. He’s been at a plateau stage, and now we’re going to try to push him again the next three or four weeks. We have a number of reserve games in April, so we’ve got to see maybe towards the end of that maybe if we feel we can get him into a game or not. But that’s something we have to evaluate. We haven’t really sat down and said this is the goal or not the goal.
On O'Brian White:I think his situation should get resolved here within the next day or two.
