Andrew Weber said he was told to be ready in Montreal airport last weekend. Then he got his first Sounders start tonight. And eight minutes in, he and the Sounders were down 1-0.
His take on that rough start, which unfolded into a 1-1 draw with SKC.
"It’s unfortunate," he said of the goal. "I don’t think there’s anything really I could have done on the goal. It hit Ozzie in the leg. I think we had a wall of green in front of us, and I didn’t see it until it comes up and over. … But the team responded well. We responded real quick. Pat Ianni came with a wonderful goal – I had a great view of it. The team battled. They didn’t have much after that."
