Sounders FC forward Fredy Montero was named today to the inactive list of the MLS All-Stars. He will not be part of the match against Chelsea tonight.
Montero has five goals and four assists in 19 MLS games this season.
The league agreement with its players association mandates 32 All-Stars per season, including this final batch, which is mostly honorary. (And beyond the honor, there can be contract/performance bonus considerations.)
Here's the word from MLS.
