Hard to know where to begin …
OK, this: The Sounders routed the LA Galaxy tonight at CenturyLink Field, 4-0.

Never miss a local story.

Back with more soon. 81st minute: Third and final Sounders sub is Marc Burch (for Caskey), so no Zakuani tonight.
75th minute: Galaxy hasn't been shut out in league play for 12 games dating to May 19.
73rd minute: Andy Rose on for Fredy Montero, who gets nice hand.
64th minute: Christian Tiffert makes Sounders' debut, replacing Brad Evans.
61st minute. GOAL Seattle. Alex Caskey notices Josh Saunders trapped away from goal and chips it in from about 30 yards. His first MLS goal. Seattle 3-0.
Attendance: 60,908. Seattle's second largest for an MLS match.
52nd minute: GOAL Seattle. Montero volleys inside of LA keeper Josh Saunders. Montero's sixth on the season, and a beauty.
Second half: ... is under way. No lineup changes for either side.
Could be interesting ones ahead, however, with Tiffert and Zakuani on Sounders bench.
Halftime: Sounders 1-0.
Shots: 7-7; on goal, 3-1 SEA; corners, 4-1 LA; duels %, 54.8 SEA; possession, 56% LA.
Sixth minute: GOAL Seattle Eddie Johnson runs onto a cross from Mauro Rosales and heads it home from about 7 yards. Tenth goal of season for Johnson. Alonso also credited with assist. Seattle, 1-0.
First kick: We're under way: Galaxy in white/white; Sounders in rave/blue. Pitch covered by shadow. Big crowd climbing high into the upper deck, but still with lots of gaps.
Lineups: Sounders are repeating a starting lineup for the first time this season, going with the same First 11 as last week at Colorado: GK Gspurning; D Johansson, Parke, Ianni, Ganzalez; M Rosales, Alonso, Evans, Caskey; F Montero, Johnson.
Very interesting bench as well, including both Christian Tiffer and Steve Zakuani ... along with Weber, Burch, Hurtado, Ochoa and Rose.
For LA: GK Saunders; D Lopes, Gonzalez, DeLaGarza, Gaul; M Franklin, Sarvas, Juninho, Beckham; F Keane, Donovan. Reserves: Perk, Dunivant, Jimenez, Magee, Meyer, Stepens, Villarreal.
Pregame: Not all MLS games are created equal, and the Sounders-Galaxy match tonight at CenturyLink Field registers as one of the special ones. An LA win sends them past the Sounders in the MLS standings. A Seattle win opens a bit more daylight in the playoff seeding race.
First kick is 6 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN2, heard on the usual radio outlets, blogged here, and highlights will be tweeted @donruiztnt.Last I heard, temperature is around 90 here. It should be ticking down as the evening goes along, but it's still more Southern California than Western Washington. We'll see how/if that factors, especially with Sounders coach Sigi Schmid need to keep in mind the implications on the U.S. Open Cup final Thursday at Kansas City.
I'll be back as news develops -- probably next with starting lineups.
