Dempsey: I don’t know what’s going on at this point. I hadn’t even played in a competitive game. The only three games I’ve played in have been friendlies. I played 60 minutes in one and 45 in the other, but still was able to score a goal – which was good – in the preseason with Tottenham. And now I’m here and now it’s about getting minutes, and I think you’ll know where you stand when you start getting minutes.
Schmid: I’ve said to Jurgen, he’s making my job harder: trying to get into the playoffs and he keeps grabbing players from me. But it is what it is. I’d rather have players of that quality than not have players of that quality. But there’s certain sacrifices that you have to make along with that. So once they issue their final roster we’ll know who’s going for sure. But you always have an idea. Jurgen and myself spoke this morning, so we’re always in communication, so I sort of have an idea what’s going on. But we’ll be OK at the end of the day, because we have other people who can step in and play. The energy in our team right now is very good.
