The Sounders returned to training today, including for the first time newly acquired midfielder Adam Moffat, who came over in a trade with Houston last week. He seemed very happy to be here, calling it the best organization in MLS. And coach Sigi Schmid and Brad Evans speak highly of him.
"Adam was fine his first day," Schmid said. "He’s been around the league: This is his fourth team now in the league so he’s been through this before. As you probably noticed, he’s got a good sense of humor, so getting him adjusted is not an issue or not a problem. He was good. There was word that he had a slight injury, but he said he feels fine coming from Houston, so I think he’s going to help us down the stretch."
Speaking of Evans, he also did more work today, and Schmid said he believes Evans will be in the mix Saturday when Seattle visits Los Angeles.
