We got our first chance today to ask Sounders coach Sigi Schmid about the club's signing last week of forward Kevin Parsemain, who immediately went on to score two goals Sunday in the Sounders 5-0 reserve win over the University of Portland.
"We’re just trying to work everything out," Schmid said. "We had seen enough of him in preseason that we wanted to sign him. It just took a little while to get all the I’s dotted and the T’s crossed. Once we finally get it right we were able to finalize the contract. But he’s somebody who – just like he showed Sunday in the reserve game – he has an ability to score goals, he’s technically he’s very very sound, he’s got good touch, he’s got a good explosion. He’s somebody that’s going to be important to us as we move forward in this season."
