On the move: It’s just an opportunity for him to get some games. We can recall him at any time that we need to. We just felt that if he’s not getting in games for us, it was important for him at this stage to see what he can do as a forward down there and see if he can bang some goals in and compete and be successful at that level. So it’s going to be good for him, and then we’ll go from there.
On why Estrada and not other little-used players: It’s important for players to get games and to get opportunities to play and get their confidence up. We have a number of reserve games, and we’ll have one again on Sunday, and we’re trying to keep the guys in that game mode and playing. But obviously playing against a college team is not at the same level of playing in the NASL or playing against the USL where it matters, it’s for points and it’s important. Players like Kovar, Okoli, Fabio, we’re trying at different points to loan guys at different times. On wny Atlanta: They had an interest. They’ve got an injury up front right now, they have an interest, so it’s an opportunity for him to play.
On the advantage of the Sounders having their own USL-Pro team next season: When you can do it with your own team it can make things a lot easier. You’re just going down the street or around the corner someplace to play. It makes things a lot easier.
