Here's some of what the Sounders had to say tonight after their come-from-behind 2-1 win at Chivas USA:
Coach SIGI SCHMIDOn coming from behind again: One-nothing is nothing, and you just have to overcome it, and I think that’s what we’ve shown and have been able to do that. Obviously we’d like to get in front at the beginning and win the game that way. But right now we’ll take what we’re getting.
On facing Chivas' Mauro Rosales: I thought Mauro did all right; I thought Leo did a good job on him. … I felt for the most part we kept Mauro pretty quite. I didn’t think he was too involved in what they were doing offensively.
On the return of Brad Evans from a calf injury: It was good to get him back out on the field. We brought him in on the right-hand side because that was another option for us to play, and Alonso and Pineda were doing all right in the middle. So it was good for him, and we’ll see how he goes forward so he can build from it.
Never miss a local story.
On going home after taking seven points from three road matches: Obviously we want to continue to win games at home. Our road record had been very, very good and our home record is not so good at the moment, so we need to get our home record good as well.
Midfielder LAMAR NEAGLE on another come-from-behind result: It’s been fun. I shows our confidence in our ability to score. Sometimes we take some goals that we shouldn’t, but we know that we can score goals so we know that we can kind of cover each other. I know that one of these days we’ll get a shutout and a ton of goals. That will be nice for everybody, but as of right now we’re not too made about it.
On his goal: I went up for a header and got kind of crushed. Clint kind of flicked it, and it’s one of those that lands in front of you: You’re fortunate, and players like me just love cleaning up. Three yards out, and you smash it. Goal.
Forward OBAFEMI MARTINS:On if his second goal felt good after four assists: Yeah, sure, and we won as well. We’ve been working hard. I think we deserved it.
On coming from behind: We don’t know (why). We just do our thing. Just keep going to the end.
