The Committee has suspended Portland Timbers defender Alvas Powell one additional game for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent against Columbus Crew defender Chad Barson in the 34th minute of the game on May 17. Powell received a red card on the play.
The Committee has determined the Columbus Crew violated the League’s mass confrontation policy in the 85th minute of the game on May 17 against the Portland Timbers. The Crew and head coach Gregg Berhalter will both receive fines as this is the club’s second infraction this year.
