Seattle extended its record to a league-leading 11-3-2 and 5-1-2 on the road. Over their last dozen matches, the Sounders are 9-1-2.
Their latest win came on the strength of a Chad Barrett header in the 39th minute, and a defense which has held United scoreless for the last 398 minutes of the series.
“That’s who deserves the credit, our back line today,” Barrett told JOEtv. “… They did a great job, the back line, all of them. Stefan made some great saves. All the guys who came in – Azira, Kovar and Estrada – all did great jobs.”
I'll be back with more notes and quotes as they become available.

And it's pairs the top team in the West against the top team in the East ... although both are without key players for this match -- including both team's goals and assists leaders.
