I'll break those into separate posts, starting here with what he had to say about the transfer reports that have him bound for AS Roma or elsewhere.
"I’m kind of letting just my representatives take care of that," Yedlin said. "They’ll obviously get back to me on that information. But for now I’m just focused on Seattle, focused on hopefully winning MLS Cup and looking to come back and do well."
On if he has always wanted to play in Europe: Yeah, but I mean the MLS is such a growing league. The MLS is really getting up there and it’s becoming one of the top leagues in the world. So obviously that shifts a little bit as the MLS gets better and better.
On the importance of not just going to Europe, but finding the right situation there: That’s big, and I have a big support system, also -- a good coaching staff, Sigi, Jurgen, all the assistant coaches here – all kind of giving me tips to what they think would be the right situation for me if that situation arises. But like I said, right now I’m focused on Seattle.
Never miss a local story.
On if recent developments will lead him to change the timeline on previous goals: I think so. Yeah, I definitely didn’t think I’d be a for-sure to go to Brazil. That was a goal since I was a little kid, so that was a big one. But now I think I almost have to make new goals and kind of reevaluate and see where I want to be in the next year, the next six months. I’ll definitely be doing some of that over the next few weeks.
