Steilacoom School District Superintendent Kathi Weight will recommend to the school board that Debra Hay become the new principal of Steilacoom High School.

The board will consider the recommendation at its meeting Thursday, July 25.

Hay is currently the assistant principal of Graham-Kapowsin High School in the Bethel School District. She has held the position since 2010.

She is also a former high school special education teacher. She holds a masters degree in school administration from Pacific Lutheran University.
