A 53-year-old Tacoma man died in his vehicle on the shoulder of Highway 16 this morning of an "unknown medical condition," the State Patrol reported.

A 26-year-old Sumner man was killed when the car he was riding in left State Route 167 on Wednesday night and struck a tree, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Othello man, 28, hurt in Highway 17 accident

OTHELLO -- An Othello man was injured Saturday morning when his vehicle slid on icy Highway 17 and rolled over, the Washington State Patrol said.

Gerardo Laireano-Alejandro, 28, was taken to Othello Community Hospital for treatment of minor cuts and bumps and bruises, the patrol said.

Mossyrock: Driver killed when he hits abandoned car

A Lewis County man was killed in a one-car crash Friday in Mossyrock, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Rodney Sattler, 49, was driving a 1982 Dodge pickup south on Winston Creek Road at 2:14 p.m. and struck an abandoned vehicle, according to the State Patrol. He died at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. It’s unknown whether alcohol or drugs were involved, according to the State Patrol.

Man is first suicide jumper from new Tacoma Narrows bridge

A man jumped from the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge about 11 a.m. this morning and died, a Washington State Patrol spokesman said.
