Kitsap driver hurt after crashing car on Highway 3 Sunday morning

A North Mason County woman is hospitalized after crashing her car on Highway 3 Sunday morning.

The Kitsap Sun reported that the 32-year-old woman was driving north on Highway 3 around 5:40 a.m. when her car left the road and went into a ditch near Judy Lane.

State Patrol troopers said that the car then hit an embankment, went airborne, and then landed on the driver's side.

One-car crash injures two, closes Highway 162 south of Sumner

A 41-year-old Sumner man is in critical condition following a one-car crash late Sunday night on Highway 162 south of Sumner, the Washington State Patrol reported today.

Students unhurt when car rear-ends school bus

A school bus was hit in a three-vehicle chain reaction crash in Belfair, but state troopers say the driver and students all escaped injury. According to a Washington State Patrol report, the bus driven by 52-year-old Lavada M. Ladenburg of Gig Harbor stopped to let off some students at 4:08 p.m. Wednesday. A 2006 Acura sedan stopped behind the bus and was rear-ended by a car driven by 40-year-old Patricia D. Selfridge of Belfair, and the Acura then hit the school bus. The driver of the Acura, 42-year-old Lori Sue Anderson of Allyn was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton for treatment of minor neck pain. Troopers wrote that Selfridge is under investigation for following another vehicle too closely.

1 teen dead, 3 hurt in single-car crash in Kent

An 18-year-old man was killed in a high-speed crash early Sunday morning in Kent.

Kent police say four teenagers were traveling from SeaTac to a house in Kent when their car crashed in the 23800 block of 64th Avenue South in Kent. The car struck a tree.

The driver, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The three passengers, all female, were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Kitsap County crash kills driver, injures five passengers Friday night

The State Patrol reported that a collision late Friday night killed a man on Highway 3 about three miles north of Poulsbo in Kitsap County.

A 25-year-old Marysville man, Diandre D. Edgecombe, was reported died at the scene.

Edgecombe, who was driving a 1994 four-door Dodge, failed to field to yield the right of way when he pulled out of the Hilltop Store onto southbound Highway 3.
