Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park will be open Wednesday, November 11 for Veteran’s Day. The parks will also salute active duty military and their household family members with free admission that day.
To qualify for free admission to either the zoo or Northwest Trek on Nov. 11, visitors must show their military identification cards. Children of active military under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult with military identification.
At Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, visitors can explore the only combined zoo and aquarium in the Northwest to see seahorses and sharks, meerkats and lemurs, elephants and walrus, all in one place.
Northwest Trek is a 723-acre wildlife park with a little bit of everything: lakes, trails, meadows and plenty of animals. Northwest Trek is home to more than 200 North American animals, from moose and bison to grizzly bears and cougars.
