When Maris Farms’ corn maze opens for the season Saturday, it’s going to be big and hairy. It fact, it’s going to be Sasquatch-sized. The 6-acre maze is in the shape of Bigfoot this year.
But that’s only one of more than a dozen entertainment opportunities at the farm. The site also has trout fishing, camel rides, free hayrides, duck races, zip lines, mechanical bull rides, tractor tire mountain, pedal cart track, monster truck rides, pig races and more.
Don’t worry. They didn’t forget the pumpkins. There are eight acres of them — plus gourds.
Food options include roasted corn, turkey legs, burgers and a chili/Fritos/cheese/onion combo.

If your tastes turn more toward the scary side of Halloween, the farm is bringing back The Monster Safari and The Haunted Woods for evening fright time.
The Monster Safari is a zombie thrill-kill attraction where visitors ride a militarized bus stocked with paintball guns. During the half-mile long course, they can shoot at zombies, monsters and other targets.
The Haunted Woods is a 35-minute walk through the corn maze and a forest filled with 25 actors along with sets and scares intended to terrorize visitors.
