Washington loves Dave Chappelle. The comedian just added a fifth - and final - night to his stretch of stand-up appearances in Seattle coming up later in October.
Previously, his run was October 13-16 at The Neptune Theatre. Oct. 17 was added today with shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets for those shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 3.
Chappelle had a long career in stand-up and film but rose to the top of pop culture prominence during the run of his TV sketch comedy show (“Chappelle’s Show”) in the mid-2000s. He quit the show at the height of its popularity and walked away from a $50 million contract.
In explaining his departure he blamed himself, his inner circle and fans who he said didn’t understand his racially-based comedy.
Many consider him to be a comedic genius.
Here’s the schedule:
Oct. 13: 7 and 9:30 p.m.
Oct. 14: 7 and 9:30 p.m.
Oct. 15: 7 and 9:30 p.m.
Oct. 16: 7 and 9:30 p.m.
New show: Oct. 17: 7 and 9:30 p.m.
The ticket price is $55 and will be available for purchase at livenation.com, venue box office (10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday) or by phone at 877-STG-4TIX.
